The Serval Cat also known as the tierboskat, is a wild "cat-o-nine-tail" may be in Africa. The serval use its sense of hearing to situate the target; to kill small target, it leaps over 2 m( 6 ft 7 in) above the sand to land on the prey on its forefeet, and finally kills it with a bite on the cervix or the thought. Mating takes region at different times of its first year in different parts of their scope, but commonly once or twice a year in a region. After a gestational period of two to three months, a litter of one to four is birth. Weaning occurs at one month, and kittens begin hunting on their own at six months. The teenagers leave their mom at 12 months .

The serval favors areas with cover such as reeds and tall grass and close proximity to water figures, such as wetlands and savannahs. It is rare in northern Africa and the Sahel, but pervasive in south Africa. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources( IUCN) classifies the serval as least refer. It occurs in protection areas across its assortment, and hunting of servals is either prohibited or regulated in several countries .
