The Serval Cat also known as the tierboskat, is a wild "cat-o-nine-tail" found in Africa. Mating takes region at different times of the year in different parts of their scope, but often once or twice a year in an area. After a gestational period of two to three months, a litter of one to four is assume. Weaning occurs at one month, and kittens embark hunting on their own at six months. The adolescents leave their mother at 12 months .
The serval favors areas with extend such as reeds and towering grasses and proximity to liquid organizations, such as wetlands and savannahs. It is rare in northern Africa and the Sahel, but widespread in south Africa. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature and National resources( IUCN) categorizes the serval as least relate. It occurs in protection areas across its scope, and chase of servals is either prohibited or regulated in several countries .
