Mating takes neighbourhood at different times of its first year in different parts of their assortment, but commonly once or twice a year in a region. After a gestational reporting period two to three months, a offspring of one to four is tolerate. Weaning occurs at one month, and kittens begin hunting on their own at six months. The juveniles leave their mother at 12 months .
The serval wishes areas with plow such as reeds and tall grass and close proximity to sea figures, such as wetlands and savannah. It is rare in northern Africa and the Sahel, but widespread in southern Africa. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources( IUCN) classifies the serval as least headache.
