The Serval Cat also known as the tierboskat, is a wild feline may be in Africa. After a gestational period of two to 3 month, a litter of one to four is assume. Weaning occurs at one month, and kittens begin hunting on their own at six months. The juveniles leave their father at 12 months .
The serval wishes areas with include such as reeds and tall grass and close proximity to water forms, such as wetlands and savannahs. It is rare in northern Africa and the Sahel, but pervasive in southern Africa. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources( IUCN) classifies the serval as least concern. It occurs in protection areas across its range, and chase of servals is either vetoed or regulated in several countries .
