After a gestational period of two to 3 month, a offspring of one to four is abide. Weaning occurs at one month, and kittens embark hunting on their own at six months. The minors leave their mom at 12 months .

The serval prefers areas with encompas such as reeds and tall grass and close proximity to ocean torsoes, such as wetlands and savannahs.
