The Serval Cat also known as the tierboskat, is a wild feline found in Africa. After a gestational period of two to three months, a offspring of one to four is suffer. Weaning occurs at one month, and kittens begin hunting on their own at six months. The adolescents leave their father at 12 months .

It is rare in northern Africa and the Sahel, but widespread in south Africa.
