The Serval Cat also known as the tierboskat, is a wild "cat-o-nine-tail" found in Africa. The minors leave their mother at 12 months .

The serval favors areas with treat such as reeds and towering grasses and close proximity to water mass, such as wetlands and savannah. It is rare in northern Africa and the Sahel, but widespread in south Africa. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature and National resources( IUCN) classifies the serval as least relate. It occurs in protection areas across its scope, and chase of servals is either proscribed or regulated in several countries .
