The Serval Cat also known as the tierboskat, is a wild "cat-o-nine-tail" may be in Africa. The serval use its sense of hearing to situate the prey; to kill tiny target, it leaps over 2 m( 6 ft 7 in) above the ground to land on the prey on its forefeet, and finally kills it with a bite on the neck or the intelligence. Mating takes neighbourhood at different times of the year in different parts of their scope, but generally once or twice a year in an area. After a gestational period of two to 3 month, a litter of one to four is assume. Weaning occurs at one month, and kittens begin hunting on their own at six months. The adolescents leave their mother at 12 months .
The serval wishes areas with cover-up such as reeds and tall grass and close proximity to liquid forms, such as wetlands and savannahs. It is rare in northern Africa and the Sahel, but widespread in southern Africa. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature and National resources( IUCN) classifies the serval as least headache. It occurs in protection areas across its range, and hunting of servals is either proscribed or regulated in several countries .
