After a gestational period of two to 3 month, a litter of one to four is carry. Weaning occurs at one month, and kittens begin hunting on their own at six months. The adolescents leave their mom at 12 months .
The serval prefers areas with include such as reeds and towering grass and close proximity to ocean torsoes, such as wetlands and savannah. It is rare in northern Africa and the Sahel, but pervasive in south Africa. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources( IUCN) categorizes the serval as least anxiety.
