After a gestational reporting period two to three months, a litter of one to four is abide. Weaning occurs at one month, and kittens begin hunting on their own at six months. The teenagers leave their mom at 12 months .
The serval favors areas with treat such as reeds and tall grass and close proximity to ocean forms, such as wetlands and savannah. It is rare in northern Africa and the Sahel, but pervasive in southern Africa. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature and National resources( IUCN) categorizes the serval as least fear.
