The Serval Cat also known as the tierboskat, is a wild cat found in Africa. After a gestational period of two to 3 month, a offspring of one to four is suffer. Weaning occurs at one month, and kittens embark hunting on their own at six months. The teenagers leave their father at 12 months .
The serval favors areas with handle such as reeds and tall grasses and proximity to ocean torsoes, such as wetlands and savannahs. It is rare in northern Africa and the Sahel, but pervasive in southern Africa. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources( IUCN) categorizes the serval as least regard. It occurs in protection areas across its range, and hunting of servals is either proscribed or regulated in several countries .
